You & I

that’s what is now

but what if

it was supposed to be

me with another

under the sun

and you with her

your life a blur

but

 you stopped it

causing

chaos

all the while

with the smile

of a crocodile

lying in wait

knowing

the fate.

A hallway

dark like black

the click

of my heels

echoes

the emptiness

that your back.
