with wicked blue eyes

bike riding to my house
excited with your news
of baseball training camp

holding my hand

a brush of a kiss

across my cheek bone

whilst saying goodbye

just a summer apart

you say…..

not knowing

my childhood love

for you

would forever depart.

The jingling sound of her charms

forever takes me back in time

the dangling icons

making me wish

they were mine.

I got my wish

at the end

 of her time

too sad

for her to know

how her charms

make me think of her so.
