Repose

Waking from my dream
desperately seeking
to go back
to find the moments
of pure ecstasy
flying as me
above in the sky
where I’m destined to be
slowly becoming
a vague memory.

So many times in dreams one has moments of that kind of 'pure ecstasy' that we wish to capture again when we awaken...but unfortunately this ecstasy is destined to fade away. That is the message I take from your poem; and I definitely can identify. Sometimes it would be nice if we could live within our dreams just a little bit longer.

For me, this resonates as a look back to my younger years, now that I hobble more than I soar:)

Oh, I know that feeling...when you're caught between dream and reality and you want to drift back into the dream. I loved this!

realm of dream is so out of reach...but the memory lingers for a while and does give impetus for creativity..... nice poem....
