Escape to Bleu Mountain

High in mountains
narrow trails
an escape
exhilarating
heart pounding
speed
the thrill
adrenaline flows

the snowbank
stuck
sinking
reverse
forward
reverse
up & over

again.

Welcoming 2014 with family,
friends, home cooked meals,
fine wine, a roaring fire
at a mountainside cabin
& a little extreme sports.

I want to wish my new poet
& writer blog friends a very
Happy New Year!
I have so enjoyed your poems
& writings these past few months.
After a 20 year hiatus from writing,
you are definitely an inspiration.
I truly look forward to reading
what you have penned this year!

More than happy with that, as long as I am on the side of the window that has the wine and the log fire.

It's wonderful to embrace winter...revel in the cold and snow. I think it makes us appreciate the warm months so much more. Love the photos! :)

Wishing you a delight-filled 2014!

Stumbling across old pens saw your comment on being Pisces. A happy birthday is in order, I believe :) ~
