Snowflakes......

upon my wake
makes me smile
drifting down
if only for awhile
on this town

white like diamonds
tear drops of rain
frozen
like my heart

makes a snowflake

sparkle
vanishing

on my black dress
like jets in the night.

Mademoiselle Modelle,

Such a sweetly formed impression of snowflakes and the gentle movement as they connect with our being...

Enjoyed the vision of diamond snowflakes..even if they are only
on the town for a bit...

this poem reminded me that winter can be beautiful and sensual...even though I am buried in ice... :)

I too am buried in ice and sleet ~ But I like the snow flakes as shining diamonds ~ That gif is amazing ~

They are like that - brief flashes of brilliance. I love how you made them so personal...wonderful details tucked in every line.

Lovely visually sensuous poem. Sometimes i wish i could freeze a snowflake in time, so that it may shine on forever. Merry Christmas!

First of all, I really enjoyed the picture. And then really liked the way you described snowflakes falling on the black dress and then vanishing like jets n the night.

Hope you have a Happy Holiday!
